Jamie joined our vet tech team in November of 2021. She was born and raised in Virginia, has also lived in North Carolina and moved to California in 2011. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology at CSU Channel Islands and also earned a certificate in the Exotic Animal Training and Management program at Moorpark College. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2016 in several different roles: vet tech assistant, x-ray manager and inventory manager.

Jamie really enjoys all aspects of working in a veterinary hospital….the medicine, the surgery, the preventive aspect of keeping pets healthy, etc. She also believes that all animals deserve the best welfare and she wants to contribute to making that happen.

Jamie enjoys spending her time away from work traveling to all the beaches from southern California to northern California with her boyfriend. She is the proud mom of 4 male fancy rats, which is the most common species of rat kept as a pet. They are named “Moemoe,” “Curcur,” “Smoothie,” and “Blackie.”
