Dr. Scott Anderson has been interested in animals his entire life. He grew up on a farm in Virginia and started working with the large animals at age 11. He received his DVM from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. He first worked in mixed animal practice (large and small) but then “got smart” and began practicing small-animal emergency medicine. He joined CIVH/LPVMC in 1997. Along with his wife, who is also a veterinarian, he shares his home with a Senegal parrot named Raffles and a Siamese kitty named Kala.
